Let's get on with the good. The service here was outstanding. Not only was I che led on by my server, but all the servers were outstanding. Place was clean and have a wonderful atmosphere. The food on the other hand was ok. The Cesar salad was over dressed, and the Cobb salad although huge, there was way to much of it. It was iceberg lettuce for days, and the topping were isolated in groups so it was impossible to get a bite of each ingredient in one fork. The pot stickers were ok, nothing to rave about. The duck special was really good though. This would be a place I would come back to, just know it's not cheap to eat here.

Tried Main Street Bistro for the first time on New Year's Eve this year, and had a pretty great experience! Nice selection of beers and specialty drinks, and the martini flight is a pretty cool idea. Our server was great. He was very attentive and provided just the right amount of levity and banter to make our experience a good one. All of the food was tasty, and after reading another review on yelp (a scathing one) about the ribeye, I had to order one myself. Now this other reviewer seems to be a steak snob, and complained that this steak "was not a USDA choice cut". I am no expert, but I thoroughly enjoyed my ribeye (cooked medium). I certainly hope that reviewer sent his overcooked steak back for a new one, though I'd say they would rather complain on Yelp than fix the problem. I enjoyed several Three Floyds beers on tap, while others in my party liked the Moscow Mules and wine selection. I'll go back for sure. Don't let these negative reviews deter you, this is a nice place... And they have free valet parking!

First off this isn't my scene. I'm more of a sports bar kind of person but the group I was with ended up at the bistro so I was there also. We stopped at 10 pm so we didn't do any food and hung out of the covered patio which was nice and quiet. The roads were all blocked off for an art festival. The drinks are way more than they should be. My bill was 15 dollars with tip for a redds and a miller lite. It took nearly 20 minutes for our group of 10 to get drinks. It wasn't real busy but there were a few people on the patio. I mean it isn't an awful place just not my type and I would rather check out a dice bar with cheap beer than the main st bistro

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough, business infested downtown Fort Wayne. The modern interior, and free valet service give this restaurant a luxurious environment that I have been craving in Fort Wayne. Our waitress was very nice and full of smiles, while our food was delicious. My juicy New York strip was cooked to perfection, and my girlfriend didn't want to lose the taste of her almond-encrusted walleye sandwich. The only reason i removed a star was our cramped eating assignment. But I will definitely be dining here again.

We had a small group there for a birthday dinner. Service was very good as would be expected at a nice restaurant like this. The martinis were very good. However they didn't have the first 2 beers I ordered from their craft beer list. The appetizer was split between the table and we all enjoyed it while I thought the meat may have been salted a little to much. For dinner most ordered steak, either new york strip or filet. The strip was cooked very well. However the filet was under cooked. Asked for medium rare and had blue in the middle of the steak, much closer to rare. The pizza was very good as well. The crust had a nice crunch to it and it wasnt greasy at all. For dessert most of the table started off ordering the cheese cake only to find out they were sold out of that as well. I switched to a different cheese cake they had *heath bar* cheese cake that was very good. The other desserts were also very good. Having read a few of the reviews I was weary of coming here but was very happy with the service and food overall (with at least what was available). I will definitely give them another try.

This evening's dinner was an overpriced meal of mediocre quality. Drinks and appetizer were ok but it went downhill from there. Our dinner arrived before we were finished with our salads. This is acceptable at bob Evans but not when you are shelling out $130 a couple for dinner. Filet was ok but seemed like it had set out a little too long after cooking. There was a mix up on the wine. I also have a pet peeve with places that pour skimpy glasses of wine. After complaining, the waitress came out with a small beaker of wine and proved to me that I was being served their standard amount. Ok, your standard amount is a skimpy 6 oz. your margins must be pretty tight if you can't give customers a good pour of house wine. One of the patrons in our party sent his tuna back because it was too rare. The serving brought back was inconsistently cooked. There are several other Fort Wayne restaurants in this price range that are far superior - Paula's, Chops and Club Soda to name a few.

The atmosphere is very nice - very conducive to small gatherings among friends or colleagues in both the bar and dining areas. Extensive bar/drinks menu although I did not partake of any since I had to drive an hour home afterward. Food menu had standard sections - starters, sandwiches, entrees - but limited offerings in each, 4-6. I ordered the salmon entree - it was prepared and cooked nicely but was more bland than I anticipated based on the menu description. There is an outside seating area with heaters, also valet parking in the attached parking garage.

Wow. What can I say. TERRIBLE on the food. Good drinks. Great service Very poor overall experience though Let me start with the service. Very attentive followed up with us. Second, drinks were good and good recommendations. Then comes the food. Appetizer was flavorful Now for the rest. Told server I only like high quality steaks. After discussion ordered ribeye med rare Steak comes out well and very poor quality. This was not a USDA choice level steak even as much as they want to brag on the brand. Brand is only the brand. Terrible in nice packaging still tastes terrible I Would say after a minute or more trying to cut the first piece of steak and after chewing fir the next minute and spitting out the tough piece of ribeye I Would give it the worst steak in town and i have thought I have found a few before. Then after sending back the steak. They wanted to try to replace it with a different entree. My dining accomplice had already eaten 90% of their food (salmon was ok) so I said I Would just eat something sonewhere later They talked me into ordering another item. Then said that would take 18 minutes. Decided on the "quick" pork chop Which I waited for which seemed twice as long as the original meal Told the server we Would just order Desert and to keep the chop The manager brought the chop I said why Dont you just bill me for it and give it to someone ejse. He said no I want you to have it. He left the pork chop and tried it. It was also terrible ! Tough. Dry. Very salty. No pork flavor. The chef had no idea how to cook a piece of meat tonight. I sent the pork chop back and told them it was not edible Received the bill which we were ready to leave and of course the terrible pork chop I Didnt want from the beginning was on the bill $28. I commented to sever that it's hard to pay for something so terrible Would have been easier to pay And not try it. He said that's what he was told to do. It was taken off after credit card receipt came back before we left I can't imagine going back again to experience such a terrible process. Maybe lunch is better ? I hope we can eventually find out if they can get their food right before it goes out of business But alot will need to change before i give it a try Several other better restaurants are available

Atmosphere was nice. Food was good, but not special for the price. Beer selection was nice though.

Complimentary valet parking is a bonus. Covered outdoor patio offered nice ambiance. More upscale than anticipated. Pomegranate martini was good but overpriced for what you get. Couldn't taste the alcohol, and wasn't even close to being filled to the rim of the glass. For $9.25 I think I will pass next time. Craft beer list was somewhat impressive. Food menu was limited in the right ways. Not offering many choices but a good selection. Worth another visit.

We gave this one final try the other night - and do not plan to be back. I am very disappointed. When Main Street first opened, I thought everything was great and several of us thought this would be a great go-to place in downtown Fort Wayne. Our first two trips soon after the restaurant opened - five stars on the food. Everything seemed fresh and came well-prepared. And I loved what seemed to be the concept - a simple menu that would change often. I think very highly of restaurants and chefs that have a simple menu that is executed very well. When restaurants try to do everything - they seldom do it all well in my opinion. The next two visits.... not so great to say the least. After the first bad trip (during which I had a charred steak - I always order medium rare - that had clearly been cooked on the same surface as salmon), we thought well - it wasn't the best but it's worth it to keep coming based on our previous experience. The next trip was the last. I had the French onion soup and the almond-crusted walleye. The soup was flavored with overly salty bullion - NONE of the flavor came from caramelized onions. It was inedible. For over $20 - I got an almond crusted walleye that I'm pretty confident came frozen and was then deep fried until the fish was the consistency of a hockey-puck. (Side note: menu said TEMPURA, almond crusted. This was in no way shape or form tempura batter) No flavor, horrible texture. NOT worth $5 much less the $20+ we ended up paying. The jalapeno aioli it came with had an okay flavor but an odd, watery texture. Needless to say - my dining partner and I were very disappointed. (He was just okay with his Caesar salad and said his sandwich was below average). We found out from the waitress that there is a different chef now than there was when the place first opened - explaining the HUGE drop in the quality of food. It is not worth paying those prices when I can get something much better for fraction of the price. If I find out where the first chef went - I would happily eat there. (also posted to urban spoon)

Everything was great last night! They have so many craft beers to choose that I had a hard time making my decision. The food all came out in a timely manner and it all tasted great. Our server went above and beyond while taking care of us, we wanted for nothing. We will continue going back there. Don't let one reviewers bad experience deter you from trying it out. Nothing runs perfectly 100% of the time, things happen, but they have been doing really well in my book!

There were six of us on a Friday night for a 6 o'clock dinner. Not many people in the restaurant but many large groups in the side rooms. I think perhaps people have the misconception of this being a traditional restaurant. In fact, as the name says, it's a lounge and Martini bar. Therefore, the menu leans towards catering to that group of people not a restaurant crowd. However we found the food good and atmosphere great, it was very quiet so we could have a conversation. The service was right on and pleasant. Salmon was good and the appetizers of Maui Maui bites and lettuce wraps were very tasteful. The live music started at 11 PM so one can assume this is more of a late night crowd venue and could account for the lack of people at 6 o'clock. The only negative that we heard was that it was a bit pricey. The valet service was a real plus on a cold December evening. We liked it and would go back

Let me start by saying there are a lot of things to like here. The ambiance is nice. The service is efficient. The parking is helpful. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewer. I first went to this restaurant when they were just opening and the food was superb! Pizza, steaks, burgers, it was all good. Then, a few weeks in, everything changed. The food that I loved was gone and replaced by substandard cooking and ingredients. The chicken was dry. The burgers were over-cooked. The pizza crust was not the same. As you can tell, I have given Main St. plenty of chances to win me back and I have surrendered. Whatever changed after those first weeks, I miss the restaurant I visited then. This restaurant is not worth the money.

So let me start and say i do appreciate the aspect of the complementary parking. With that being said, i had the privilege of attending a Christmas party there. Our party was in a separate room away from the main bar/restaurant. I do not think it was properly staffed, because with a group of about 50 people they seemed to only have 2-4 staff taking orders the entire night. I decided to not partake in the food and i was glad i didn't eat there. I know of countless people who were given Raw steak instead of Medium, a burnt hockey puck instead of a hamburger, etc. People were not given their salads and soups either. With that being said, i think the biggest issue is that they were understaffed and it clearly showed. That does not take away from the fact that the food was not good and or cooked to what the customer ordered. I don't think it is a horrible place, but i don't think i would ever go back. Over all i blame poor management and the cooking staff for these issues and not the servers. The servers were doing their best with that amount of people and did explain the reason for so many checks that were accounted for properly. Many people had to ask multiple times for their check to be fixed due to errors.

Drinks are overpriced as well as the food options. Took a very long time to get martinis for our table from the bar although the bistro was empty. Menu is very limited. Don't go here if you're hungry; there are better options in Fort Wayne. Bar is beautiful and atmosphere is nice, but that's about it. Probably will not return.

Went for my birthday this weekend we had a party of 8, valet was wonderful as it was pouring when we arrived. The menu is still very limited and there are a ton of kinks to be worked out. Having food allergies I always plan ahead and that was near impossible as things are changing day to day, I had exactly 2 things I could eat available on the menu (my fault should have given them more time to get the kinks out) Some of the people in my party loved what they got others thought it was mediocre or terrible. The drinks were very tasty but took a long time to get to the table (Saturday night 8pm). I think I will give them more time to work out the kinks before I attempt to get food again.
